The price of gold is coming down to Rs 1,116

 



Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce the price of gold by a maximum of Tk 1,018 per gram due to falling prices in the world market. In this, the price of good quality, i.e. 22 carat gold (11.64 grams) stands at 7 thousand 372 rupees. The new rates will be effective across the country from Thursday.

 

The Jewelers Association confirmed the matter in a press release on Wednesday. Gold prices have fallen in the international market, they said. Therefore, it has been decided to adjust the price in the country's market. Last time, on June 26, they reduced the price of gold by Tk 2,918 per ounce. Earlier, the gold price rose to Rs 72,464, which is the highest price in the history of the country.

 

It will cost Tk 8,382 to buy a 22-carat gold ornament from Thursday as the price has come down. Apart from this, 21 carat 64 thousand 73 rupees, 18 carat 64 thousand 152 rupees and traditional ornaments will be sold for 53 thousand 479 rupees.

 

Till Wednesday, 22 carat gold was sold at 69,546 rupees, 21 carat gold at 65,933 rupees, 18 carat gold at 65,065 rupees and traditional gold at 54,237 rupees. This means that from tomorrow, the price of 22 carat gold will be reduced by Rs 1,018, 21 carat gold by Rs 1,050, 18 carat gold by Rs 933 and traditional gold by Rs 759.
